This eCommerce software was developed over 10 years ago by three Russian students. It now has over 100 engineers in its employ, and over 30,000 online stores, which includes the Standout.net as well as the Greg Norman Collection goat Milk Stuff. The X-Cart is currently affiliated with its parent company, Qualiteam.

As you may have been aware, I get paid for some products and services that I write about on this website through affiliate relationships with the merchants in that I review their products. If you click on the links and purchase any of the products, I get rewarded with some commissions for my efforts.

However, that does not in any way influence my personal opinion of the products. I always try to give my sincere opinion of the products I review after extensive research on them.

I review each product believing it would be really useful to you. The merchants/advertisers do not directly pay me anything for reviewing the products; I only receive some commissions if you buy through my link – a little reward for my efforts.

Apart from their cloud-based cart and open source PHP license cart, X-Cart also provides hosting, web design, fraud services, migration, online monitoring, and installation. These are some of the reasons why a lot of people love X-Cart and are currently pitching their tents with the e-commerce platform.

Its downloadable version is great, but it needs some improvements to be able to favorably compete with its competitors. However, the licensed version has several features that make it the darling of online store owners. The licensed version is also quite customizable. You may love the self-hosted cart, but you need to know that you will take care of the hosting, security, technical support, or other add-ons from X-cart or other third-party processors yourself.
